Default Black smoke

I was racing an Avalanche and they said they saw small puffs of black smoke come out my tail pipes when I shifted.

Is there a problem?

Nah... just running a little rich. Nothing to worry about. Better to run a little rich than it is to run lean. Now if it turns to white or blue smoke then its time to start worrying.

Hey if they want to race, I'll race them even a big *** truck...and they didn't come close to beating me actually they let completely up when I was still in third.

I didn't know if it was modded or what. Not bashing, just wondering, i've had mid 80's Broncos and Blazers rev on me, so I know what you mean!

Gotcha, there was an F-250 diesel at our local track in Memphis 2 weeks ago that ran consistent 13.7x's. Then a 2005 Dodge Ram Dually pulled up next to it, but it was bone stock.

I was looking at the stock engine of the avalanche and it can come with a 320hp V8 and 3.73 or 4.10 rear gears...so other than it weighing more than a ton...he could have a pretty good set up under the hood.

There has been alot of truck trying to raace me lately. At the car gathering ans at ennis guys talk about how their truck stomp stangs all day. I get alot of crap because i'm the only mustang in a group of fourth gen f-bodies. Most trucks running stock are in the 15.5-17 second range.

Ya, right, just rich causing a bit of carboning. Fix it or you'll carbon up you valves and rings pretty good if it is a constant condition.

Is it just me, or does it happen to you too. No matter where I am, on whatever road, if I have to come to a complete stop, EVERYONE takes off regardless of age or sex like a shot just because they see a Mustang sitting there. Unbelievable. Trucks, vans, ricers, cruisers, luxo's.....tigers and bears.....oh, my! No ****....it happens constantly almost everyday. True, I have gold racing stripes on my car and a Magnaflow catback so it idles nice, but this is getting rediculous. Maybe it is the Spring crazies or something. I can also be cruising, minding my own business, and all of a sudden a car goes by me from behind like I'm standing still. Too much. I guess I could have one hell of a lot of fun if I didn't mind ending up in jail sooner or later. Too easy. Let me know if this happens to you too.
