Default mustang vs 335

the other week me and my friend were racing. i have a 2001 mustang gt auto stock. he has a 2008 bmw 335xi. we raced on the high way and he beat me once or twice but the others we completely tied. Then we raced from a stop and it was close the hole time never did he beat me bad. it was no more then half a car length. Anyone know the 0-60 and quarter mile time of my stang?? i figured around 5.5? and quarter mile 14.1?

335's are sick if you just tune them and up the boost. They just sound like crap

You were really close on your guess. Car and Driver rates the mustang as a 5.6 0-60 and a 13.9 quarter mile but 90% of people with a mostly stock mustang on the track run a 14.1-14.4.

I noticed your an automatic. I am guessingits because the transmisison doesnt want to downshift when you only give it half throttle, and then when you floor it you will feel the torque multiplication from the steeper gear after the downshift. Thats just a guess, I dont know much about how the automatics feel.

Damn I dont know why but we had one as a rental i thought it was pretty slow. Never could talk any of my family into racing me but it just didnt feel like it pulled like my car does. It sure did handle nice though I love they way they ride.

The 335 should pull you pretty decently. Your car is probably good for a mid to low 14. Some have gone faster and some are slower but there are so many factors that play into it. Temperature, humidity, track prep, tires, etc.
