Thinking about removing mufflers, leaving stock H

RE: Thinking about removing mufflers, leaving stock H
Andy, you'll just have to see if it works for you. I love the sound of my car. I have heard GM's and Fords my whole life (41 now) and I don't think my Mustang sounds like a GM, not that it would be a bad thing if it did. I had Flowmaster 40's before and they have a great sound, just not loud enough for me with the stock H.Some folks like the no muffler sound, somedon't. Like Jbauer said, sound is a very subjective thing. Oh, and you will always have a small group of people who crap on it because it didn't cost $500.

i spent $40 to have my stock mufflers cut out and pipe bent and welded in & yes it it is loud it sounds good but if you drive it every day you probably will get tired of it pretty quick. I only drive it on the weekends and if i make a long trip in it , it does get on my nerves but....you will be louder than almost anybody else on the street

Loud is what I was after. I am leaving my stock H because I negotiated an extended powertrain warranty til early 2011 when I bought the car and am notgoing thru the hassle of switching out H pipes to take it to the dealer. I went looking for the loudest cat back system and to me, the muffler delete sounds similar to SLP LM1.
