first, get a tranny cooler, then get your self a valve body that has had the j-mod done to it, get yourself some gears and a tuner, after that a stall converter should round things off very nicely. The stall converter will make a huge difference. Do a search, theres a lot of good info on some past threads.

1. Tuner to stiffen/shorten shifts
2. Trans Go Shift Kit(Like oneFine said)
3. Trans Cooler(If you use the shift kit)
4. A new Driveshaft and 4.10 Gears would also bring that Auto to life

After those mods, you'll be looking at Manual Mustangs and saying..."How doe's my Exhaust taste?"[8D]

i have and recommend a 3000 holeshot b&m torque converter, imperial tranny cooler, and diablosport tuner for the firm shifts. with my sorry nittos...(i think they suck)... i can still get a 1.7 second 60 footer on a basically stock mustang. only thing i have is the whole top of the motor minus cams and heads redone.
