Default what mods can/should i do

I probably gonna be getting a manual 99-04 mustang gt very soon and I am interested in modding it to make it faster. I was wondering what mods I should do and approx how much it will cost with install. if you could list all the mods that would take it up to like 400 horses. Im not saying I want that much but I just wanna get a good range. Thank you for reading and I await some replies

Default RE: what mods can/should i do

intake kit (~200), sct or predator tuner (~$400), underdrive pulleys ($200), and labor ($300). There's $1100 right there for about 40 more hp.

Remember that there is a difference between hp, which is 300 at the crank, versus rwhp (rear wheel hp) which is what is being put to the ground. If you increase your hp by 40 to 340 hp, you can expect that your stock hp would increase at the wheels from about 270rwhp to about 300rwhp.

The 2005 Mustang section discusses this ad nauseum, so I would suggest going there and checking out the threads.

Hope this helps.
