I have a cover off a 98 pretty sure they are the same let me know if your interested.
It would be similar but your 98 will have bosses for the coil pack brackets.

is that tensioner in the same place?

I could be mistaken, but at some point didnt ford change the belt route on the Mustang?

I'm just curious because I know at some point the cover changed to hold the tensioner with just one bolt instead of 3 like on my car now..

They changed it Mid 2001.
