Default 01 cobra mods

Hey guys. I tried searching, but it's still not working, so sorry if this gets asked alot [:@]

I've got an 01 Cobra (5-speed) that I want to make a bit faster. I've already got 3.73 gears and a t-lok in (Still need to get the speedo reset). Around the S197 section, they say CAI/Tune are the first things to do. Is that the same consensus for the 01 Cobras? Also, what sounds good exhaust-wise? Any other tips?

Thanks!

youtube exhaust, because that is personal preference...if you have gears i would first get a full exhaust, but what are your plans for the car?

It's going to be going to the track during the summer and fall (When I'm at home), but I'm not looking for a full-out track car. I'm not looking at any form of F/I right now, but might consider something like a 75/100 shot in the future. It sounds "alright" now, but I'm hoping I can get a deeper sound from it. We built this car (Motor swap) and neither my dad nor I know what exhaust is on it right now...He had it laying around from another build and it worked, so we didn't think twice. It's a Ford Racing exhaust, but I can't find anything on it...Is there a way to find out what exhaust it is? (I don't sound like an idiot at all[:'(])

First rule of Mustangs: No one can tell you what sounds good to your ears. Listen to some soundclips and think for yourself.

If there's a "x" intersection under the axle on your catback then it's an FR500. A quiet but quality piece.

Start with a JLT CAI(NA Cobra owners swear by them), a midpipe, maybe some pullies, a chip and a tune. That will get you to 305-310 easy.

I'm at 313/313 with said mods. 4.30s are next on the list.

I think there's rome for one more sticker on that JLT....

Forgot to mention.....Nazman over at SVTP can set you up with a ported lower. Around +12 to +14 but it's pretty spendy.
