Had them check the air filter, found out that previous owner had put a K&N in it. Filter is in the original box that the standard cone filter would fit in. Question is does it having a K&N bebefit me at all or will I not notice any difference till I get a CAI installed.

Dont waste your money on a CAI if you already have a K&N filter, just remove the silencer and call it a day.

But the FIPK also removes the restrictive metal screen on the stock intake...wouldn't get get a little better gain?

The screen is not restrictive. We did the math once and it actually has about 5% more in² area than the MAF. Appearances can be deceiving.[/align][/align]That said, mine is not installed...[/align]
