Default PI Engine Swap issues

Ok I have a 96 GT and am in the process of swapping in a new 2001 motor. Tonight I got the motor trans and other items on just to realize that my new PI intake wont fit because it hits a coolant line underneath. I thought that I shouldnt need anything special because Idid the whole swap. Is there different PI intakes? or do I need to by the new coolant bypass tube?

Yes, you will need a new coolant bypass tube. Just order the tube for a 2001 or better. Here is the part number I installed when I did my PI swap, XR3Z-18B402-AA.

Good luck,
Jag
