Default CAI = Engine not like

i bought the maf -> cai densecharger intake from a guy. The filter was kinda scratched up but clean. He said it was on his car for about 20K. I installed it on my car and when it sits, the idle jumps up and down about 200 RPM and seems like it is starving at low rpms. Actually i was shifting in to 2nd down a road and it shut off. Luckily I controled the car enough and stopped it.

Now, do you think I need a new filter or do you think the CAI was installed wrong. thos are pretty easy to install but maybe i need a gasket between the maf and the elbow pipe, or something along those lines.

PLEASE FEED ME SOME INPUT!

Did you install the MAF backwards or upside down?

Disconnect the battery and do some cruising through town.

What size injectors do you have???? You might not have the right calibration tube in your MAF??? Your MAF has to be calibrated to your injector size!

did you unplug the battery to reset the computer? Also, I think the oil in the filter could have gotten into your maf.

Stock motor with superchips tuner (tuned for gears). Stock MAF and stock injectors. The filter sat for about 2 weeks in my room until the remaining parts came. I filter was dry when i installed it.

I have not unplugged the battery. I was thinking about unplugging the batter and also buying a new K&N filter and seeing how that works. I just feels like it is starving for air.

If it's the densecharger MAF, it may be calibrated incorrectly for your car.
