Crank Pulley Removal Quick Q
That, and the 4 oil pan to timing chain cover bolts are the only things left that I need to take off.
When I did the removal during the winter, the guy I was working with took care of removing the crank pulley for me because he had done it before, and had the impact gun to remove the crank bolt.
My question is: Since I don't have an impact gun, is there a way to still get the crank bolt out?
And when I go to rent the pulley remover, is it different than the tool required to put it back on? (I did the reinstall all by myself, but I know that the tool was not the 3 prong puller obviously.) Will I have to rent both?

well... the motors still together and in the car right? just put it in gear and use a breaker bar.
or use someones impact lol
is the crank damaged? and thats why your taking it out? if so, stick something btwn the crank andblock(dont damage block obviously) and use a breaker bar

RE: Crank Removal Quick Q
when we did underdrive pullies we used a breaker bar while we had it in 3rd gear and when we put it back on we used a longer bolt to tighten it down until we could get the stock one to fit

RE: Crank Removal Quick Q
I got the bolt out fine, just took some muscle.
But the damn pulley remover we rented from advance was ALL dicked up..
half the bolts were bent, one was broken, and the main thing that ran through the middle of the puller agaisnt the crank was all stripped and messed up.
Are people that retarded? Both the advance people who didnt check it upon return, as well as the moron that used it before who had NO clue what they were doing?
