Default Crossover gaskets

Can anyone tell me what are crossover gaskets? I have to repalce my lower intake gaskets as well as the crossover gaskets. Autozone / Advanced auto reps don't know what I'm talking about.

Thanks

I have no idea what you're talking about either to be honest.

Manifold gaskets rest on the heads by the intake port, and connect to the bottom of the manifold.

My new intake manifold doesnt require gaskets....

So I really don't know what's up with a lower intake gasket.....unless its just an intake manifold gasket.

I took my car to the dealer for a diag because I found water covering 2 of my sparkplugs. They told me that I needed lower intake gaskets and crossover gaskets. I have no idea what they are talking about. I'll probably have to go back to them so they can show me.

Lower intake gaskets would be the main intake gaskets and the upper gaskets would be the gasket between the plastic intake and the Plenulum.

Yea,,,we're not trying to be a-holes just helping (we know you werent acting like we wer asses either..)

I think lower intake gaskets ARE crossover gaskets... etc..

the only gaskets I can even think of are:

1 passesnger side gasket
1 driver side gasket
1 rubber ring/gasket that sits on top of the thermostat

i have the same issue with the plugs right now and my new intake (2 years ago) came with the built in gasket and now im not sure which gasket to use. Calling ford is like talking to a wall cause they have no idea which ones i need. They say the ones from 02 are different than 99 even though i have the new manifold with the aluminum crossover. Oh btw i think what thay might have meant by crossover gasket was the thermostat gasket...?

There are gaskets for the aluminum coolant crossover. The coolant crossover unbolts from the intake , and has gaskets. But im almost positive its a dealer only part.

I didn't think of the Aluminum crossover being detatchable. That is more than likely what it is.

You can make that gasket out of store stock gasket material.
