Default Grinding when turning?

Well I got the Mustang last week, but I'm not sure it was a great idea. I love driving it but I keep having problems. The second day I had it the drivers window motorfailed. I'm also only getting 19mpg with a very light right foot. On the way back today after getting the window motor fixed (free) I started hearing a grinding sound when I turn. Sometimes its a really loud crunching grind sometimes its more of a whine. It sounds like its coming from the back. I jacked up each of the rear and theres a little play in the wheels, not a whole lot but there is more play then there should be. I would jack up the front but I dont see any "notches" in the rocker seam to put the jack. (can someone advise??)What are peoples thought as to what this could be? I have a 1 month 1,000mi full warantee so I dont have to pay for anything. The nice thing is after that 1 month I have a 4 year 48K milewarantee for half the cost of parts and labor. Right now thats the best part about the Stang... Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks

Heres a picture of her...

Would that be caused by someone doing a lot of burnouts??

Hmm, well this has just under 40k so I suppose it could just happen on its own. But it does make me wonder how the previous owner treated the car.

you can get the last owners name and number from the place you bought it from, call him and ask.
