Default supercharger?

Im thinking about putting my own vortech kit together. If I were to get all the stuff to do this including a fuel managment unit could I use my stock 19lb injectors? would I need a tune afterwards? The vortech kits that I see dont seem to come with a reflash of any kind, am I wrong? I have a 97 gt, thanx.

Negatory on the injectors.. you will definitely need at least 32# injectors, and I would recommend getting the 42#'rs.. I don't know where you're looking at for your kits, unless you're trying to buy used, but I would recommend MPH (Modular PowerHouse).. Their mongoose kits can come with either the vortech, or the paxton novi S/C's I believe. DynoTuned Performance also has some real decent kits..Either of those placeswill have a complete kit for sale, not the piece-together kind of stuff. If you're buying used, you'll need all the tubing, the belt, the head unit, preferably an inter-cooler if you can find one, a new ECU chip, fuel pump, and injectors. Also keep in mind that if you're dealing with a stock 97GT (which I'm assuming you are), that you have NPI heads, and those do NOT flow as well as the PI heads. Now it's your car, so do what you wanna do, but if I were you, I'd invest in doing a PI head swap before I bought the S/C.. That's just me though..
