aright im going forged finally. right now i only have bolt ons and a vortech that is currently not on the car. i was looking at buying a mmr shortblock and scraping most everything of my stock engine minus the heads. but heres the big question 5.4 or 4.6? right now mmr has the 5.4 blocks on sale for 100 dollars less than the 4.6 is there any reason not to buy this? i know i wont gain much extra hp from the extra .8 but after the FI wont i be more powerful? and what else would i need to get that wouldnt fit from my stock 4.6?

Short block from MMR is probably okay. I wouldn't buy their long block and definitely not their heads. I'm speaking from personal experience. If you want to know more pm me.

It's not the short block that cost the money, it's the extras that go on top! 5.4 is a bit more than the 4.6 for just yip more tq. Too me I think it would be fun and something different but in the end I'd still just do the 4.6.
