I hate to ask but what does a shift kit do?

a shift kit shortens the shift time by increasing pressure of the fluid in the transmission. it makes the shift hard and quick... kinda like me fuc**n my girl haha.. but one thing to remember.. as ive been saying for over a year.. first mod for an auto should be a transmission cooler as heat is the #1 enemy of a tranny.. and with a shift kit.. the increased pressure will only make it heat up more.

hey sorry bout the confusion in that post your referring to. i didnt know how to spell tri-ax so i typed shift kit. i have a 5spd. i'll edit it for ya now
