if its knocking really bad you,ve got some problems,you can't compress water so if it does get in the engine it will normally hurt something, but to be safe check it out or have someone take a look at it before you call your ins.

yea i have a fender wall cai sorry bout that
i think its a bent rod because when it happened it kill the car. i push it out of the water.
turn the key and the started tired to move it but couldnt turn the motor. pulled coils and plugs still locked up. tried to turn it by hand and wouldnt move. i turn the crank by hand back words and it turns then turn it forward and it locks up in same place.

2 feet of water is way to deep for a stang .My buddykilledtwo 4.6s in about 21/2 feet in a expedition. Stupid setup they take air in from the top of the fenderwell...on a 4x4 wtf. First engine we were 2hr drive from home made her back Knockin like hell 2nd engine died on the spot.

ide purposely run mine through a puddle to blow it up, but the cost of a new engine is worth more than my car and insurance would just total it lol

what were you thinking going through 2 ft of water anyway all you had to avoid that was go up the hill instead of down the hill how hard would that be. #2 its a mustang not a 4x4 well thats my $.02. If you turn it in on insurance they will try to find a used engine out of a mustang the same year with equal or lesser mileage, if they dont find one then you get a new engine. good luck with that.
