How about this go and get you a k&n filter and cut the tube off straight i think that would work and save a few $$$.

There all the same. The larger diameter can help with volumetric efficence of air flow but still wont increase the numbers. JTL does look bad ***.

my question is how does water get way up there mine sits at the top of the fender almost and with the inner fender linings it looks to me like it is nearly impossible to get water up their unless the vehicle is submerged if it is the rai wont help you much b/c water can enter through the hole beside the filter please correct me if im wrong.

Does it matter how it gets there? If it gets there, it gets there.

I don't know how or why you're getting water up there but it splashes up and air pushes it all the way. THere's two things you can do: Rivet in a plastic plate to limit pudle water or DONT GO THROUGH BIG PUDDLES.

nearly impossible to get water in there??

you should read the thread a couple of posts up titled "i blew my engine". its a 2 page thread on this guy screwed his engine b/c of his fenderwell cai and driving in the rain. it does happen, and its one of the main reasons i went with the jlt rai. i havent had any problems with jlt what-so-ever. and i have had to drive in the rain a few times.

i would def go with JLT rai!!

yeah.....he just drove thru a big/deep puddle of water (with a fenderwell cai) and in the middle of the puddle....something caused the car to stall.....and now the engine wont spin.....but i doubt it was the water that caused it. lol wtf

edit: it certainly wouldnt be the first thread i have read on here about a hydro-locked engine from a fenderwell cai....it does happen people....weather you want to believe it or not.
