AM Pypes x pipe question
Ok here's my question, I'm in the market for a mid-pipe, I am on a budget though, I saw the AM pypes x pipe, do I need headers whether shorty or long? I just have stocker manifolds (orefer to keep them 2 kids and summer daily driver). Is this bolt on with stock manifolds?

my expirience with pypes was terrible. their customer service sucks too. they don't stand by their product at all.
btw, i have the stock manifolds, and the xpipe kit is supposed to work on them. i made it work, but it took a little fabbing and encouragement.
if you've ever had the stock midpipe out, but on the right side, there is a metal gasket that you should replace when you do the swap.
the stock midpipe the exhaust pipe went about .125' past the flange, that allows the gasket to set in properly and assures the pipe set in the right place. the xpipe i got from pypes didn't have that past the flange, when i set the gasket the first time it didnt go on right.
i'll be under the car again tomorrow replacing that gasket and hoping that it goes on right this time.

RE: AM Pypes x pipe question
I really don't think you need to slam the company and warn people to stay away.. My experience with Pypes with their Catted X has been %100 satisfying. Zero issues with clearances and fitting and the company I've had no problems with..

RE: AM Pypes x pipe question
i payed a fair amount of money for a product that had terrible fit and workmanship. they showed no pride in their product when i talked with their customer service department. they told me that there was no fitment gaurantee and that the damage done to the exhaust was not covered because it probably happened during shipping. if you want to know what kind of company you are dealing with read the warranty card that they send with their product. it is clearly spelled out that they are not willing to stand behind anything they sell.
i am glad you got lucky and yours fit well. but i did not have that expirience. i had a bad expirience and would like to keep other enthusiasts from having more bad expiriences. i would've posted a good report about them if i had a good expirience, as i did with my hurst shifter. but from my lone expirience, i know them to not stand by their ****ty, damaged, faulty product.
