Default A few 98-99 Mustang Coupe Q's

Hey guys what's up? Obviously i'm new to the board so umm hey. Anyway if any of these questions have been asked to death, I apologize ahead of time. So my questions are:

1: What's the stock HP for a 98-99 Mustang Coupe. (Just the coupe)
2: Stock 0-60 time for them?
3: Stock 1/4 mile ETA/speed?
4: What are some of the more "simple" upgrades that will give me more horsepower? (Simple = NOT having to replaces heads, intake, cam, etc.)

Thanks guys.

-Cheers

big difference between 98 and 99's. 98 is different body style with different heads. they usually go 0-60 in about 6 secs stock. and run between 14.9 and 15.2. but the 99's got pi heads which do 0-60 in about 5.5 secs and run around 14.1-14.4 stock.mine is a 97 and did a 15.1 stock. but now i got the new heads and it does 12.97 all motor. also some bolt ons would be underdrive pulleys and exhaust and gears. dont worry about throttle body and intake. not worth the money. and invest in a set of good tires and a shifter but that should do it.

well a 99 comes with 260 hp stock to the flywheel. put catback. off road x or h pipe underdrive pulleys an u will prolly be around 290-295 to the flywheel. u will run high 13's with that stuff like around a 13.7ish. and throw a set of 4.10-4.30 gears and you will be knocking on the door for 12's. like prolly around 13.1 so good luck

Sorry if i'm being a pain in the @$$. Two more questions...I think. Simple ones... Is the 99 Coupe true dual exhaust? And would those little Saleen front lower door corner decals work/fit right on a 99 coupe? Incase you have not guest, I don't own a stang yet, but i'm geting a 99 coupe soon.

Grrr now I can't decide which to get. 98 or 99. What do you guys think? There are more 98s for sale for one thing. I don't like the 0-60 stock speed for the 98s though. I want 5.7 or less. Are 98 performance parts cheaper? Easier to put/"bolt on"?? Which has more "potential"? Again sorry if i'm being a pain. I've got some time to decide but I want to have a good idea ahead of time, so I know what to look for and read about more.

well the bolt ons and parts are all pretty much the same price. the only thing different between the motors is the heads and intake manifold. everything else on the whole entire car is the same. so all the bolt ons will be the same price u just gotta get the right year because they make some for 96-98 then 99-04

Well if you can find a 98 for 2k less than a 99 then go with the 98 because a full PI swap can be around that price and it would give you a few extra bucks for an intake and full exhaust. Otherwise I'd go with the 99 because it already has the PI parts and will save you time and money
