Default Rear Wheel Squeek

I've been hearing a noise from my right rear wheel. I noticed it does this when I make a right turn. It doesn't matter if the brakes are on or off. Any ideas what this could be?

if its the diff, jack one side of your car up leaving one rear wheel on the ground and try to turn the wheel thats in the air if it turns fairly easy the diff clutches are shot. if it take alot of force to turn there fine.

I did that on the side that with the squeek to see if maybe it was coming from the brake pad. In neutral, it wasn't free turning like a front wheel would be. Could I jack up the side that doesn't make a noise and compare, or would bad diff clutches make both sides the same, so I can't compare?

there should be alot of resistance when trying this with a good diff. as for trying the other side i dont think it would help. one other for sure way is go smoke the tires you will have 2 black marks if its good and 1 if its bad. check this out it will give you a better idea on whats inside

Guys, the diff is bathed in oil, I doubt it would be squeeking Get the car on a lift or jackstands and idle it in 1st gear. Look for wheel wobble. That's how I found my bent axle.[8D]
