I was thinking 2V for the swap. I know the 2v are real efficient when it comes to gas mileage vs a 5.0 which has allot of parts that i would need to upgrade. Alt, smog pump ect... A stock 2v is much more efficient than a stock 5.0 no matter what way you look at it... Any info you guys have would be much appreciated!
thats not true at all. i get the same gas milage as my buddy in his 01 Gt.

btw....did you know a set of as-cast Trickflow twisted wedge heads for the 5.0 out flow a set of ported 2v PI heads?

a 5.0 swap would make more sense IMO.

a 5.0 is weak. Swap in a 5.8.

i agree with the statement in bold.

seriously though, dont you think a 5.0 swap into an lx fox would make more sense than a 2v 4.6?

and my bad about the double post.

Yesa 5.0 would be a much better swap money wise and much easier to build power. The 4.6 swap is really only for guys like my friend that likes to put engines in cars that they dont belong (5.0 in a beetle). I personaly would never put a mod motor in a fox unless it was a blown 4v because that would just be a fun car.

If i can find a trashed 96+ Cobra I'd be in business...
And yeah, a 5.0 can make some good power. My first car was a 95 Cobra and I had allot of fun with that car. Just wanna try something different thats all [8D]

Idealy... I'd like a 2v motor, pi heads trick flow intake track heat intake and a V2 vortec... if I couldn't get the four valve of course [sm=wootwoot.gif]

Someone just told me about this website... some pretty sick swaps in there! I guess anything is possible if you have the resources...

youre going to spend half as much money making it fast compared to modding the 4.6 to a similar power output.

A 4v with good heads can make some sick power...VS a 5.0... with a bunch of add ons...
