I have 4.10s and so does my wife's 04 V6 and gas mileage doesn't seem to have suffered.

They do make you want to step into it more, which of course will drop the gas mileage. We use ours as daily drivers and have taken them on 2000+mile trips and didn't find any noticable drop in mileage.
