i wouldnt suggest hardshifting or any wot driving in the od gear of an automatic unless it has full billet components. od is the physically weakest gear in an automatic transmission, also as the revolutions are being multiplied to increase output through the tailshaft, this places the greatest load on the motor possible.

you can build a 4r70w to hold that power with no issue at all. the problem is you dont use overdrive when racing or shift into od under full power it wont tak it.
