2003 SVT automatic trans?
Hey,
doing this for a friend.
He has 2003 SVT cobra with a whipple blower and 19lbs pulley,
he has the 6spds like all of them do, but tried it with a automatic tranny done up,
was suposed to hold 800hp
all was good but as soon as it hit overdrive and you got on the pedal a few times it burnt
had it rebuilt twice and gave up. Got the 6spds put back in
Car has 650hp to the crank and 570hp to the wheels and 540tq
Now he found a kit thats from a T400 trans that holds up to 1200hp but its a slap stick type tranny
meaning no clutch but you still had to shift it
My question is, is there any company or place that makes the whole tranny that it a 4spds fully automatic meaning 3 gears and 4th the overdrive, that will hold power and wont break?
Any help will be appreciated, thanks

haven't looked into it, but i'm pretty sure there is no tranny that exists like that. if he wants to go auto it has to be a "slap stick" kind in order to handle that much power. in all honesty i wouldn't see why you would really want an overdrive anyway. third gear will act the same just depends on what gear ratiohe has obviously and where it plans to drive the car.

Lots and lots of people have gotten AOD cars well past his power level with zero problems.
