ported and polished plenum??

was recently looking on ebay and came across this auction for a ported and polished plenum for the 4.6 i have been looking at getting one and i had to see what you guys think about this. so my question to you guys is is this complete BS or what??

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/MUSTA...spagenameZWDVW

this is quoted in the auction -
It has also been dyno tested using one of my P&P Ford Racing 70MMTB's. These tests were conducted by a customeron a relativelystock 02 GT with the exception of high flow mufflers and a inexpensive cold air intake. These testsshowed a 23HP gain with an increase of 21ft-lbs torque over stock. Actual numbers are: Stock: 249.68 HP, Torque: 294.22 ft-lbs. After installation of my P&P plenum & Ford Racing TB: 272.53HP, Torque: 315.46 ft-lbs. I have the dyno results and will be happy to send a email copy upon request.
so my question to you guys is is this complete BS or what?? sounds to good to be true so i am assuming it is

yes.. believe me if a ported plenum netted those numbers, it would be everyone's first mod on this forum. And stock 99-04 gt's dyno 220ish to the wheels. complete BS

It's BS I saw that the other day when i was looking for a good plenum, and correct me if I am wrong but from what I have read it is impossible to port the stock plenum to a point that you would see any notable gain. I just dont think it has enough material.

RE: ported and polished plenum??

yea- that stock plenum was designed to be quiet, theres only so much you can port until the design catches up with you.
A crap load of BS, someone should comfront that A hole.

+1 ^^^

I almost fell out of my chair after I read that ad on ebay!

MM&FF did an article not too long on the typhoon lower intake, and had dyno sheets showing stock rwhp, gains from an upper plenum, and then with the PP intake.... average gains w/ a mildly modded car (cai, exhaust, ud pullies) with an upper plenum were like 7 hp, and it even showed a loss of like 2 rwt in lower rpms!

RE: ported and polished plenum??

As of right now just a bunch of looks stuff, 4.10s, lowered, BBS wheels.

For power it only has SLP headers and X pipe, Magnapack catback, JLT intake, PHP intake spacer, and a dyno tune (SCT) done by MC Racing in Kansas City.
