2000 Mustang GT, 5 Speed.

Whenever I drive now.. it seems like every other say (some better than others) I will drive, and if I hit the brake, the car kinda stops but the rear end like *clicks* It kind of feels like there is someting large moving around in the trunk -but there isn't. Also.. if i'm going about 15mph.. and I happen to have it in neutral (drifting to a stop light.. a bit too low of a speed for 2nd gear. So I throw it in 1st, let off the clutch easy and give it perfect gas.. the car kinda jerks a little and the car *clicks* like a knock sound.. what the heck? pelase help!! =(

I like checking easy things first. It might be a U-joint. Put the car in neutral and set the parking brake. Get under the car and see if there is any play in the u-joint.

why do you downshift to first?

u-joints are part of the driveshaft.

I'm not downshifting.. I roll to come to a stop from going about 30mph's.. slow down to about 25 then toss it in neutral as I drift to the stop light (why ride the clutch?) but then the light turns green as I am rolling at like 15 mph's and I try to get it back in 1st and it goes in hard.. but when I do, I ease it into 1st gear but the "click" and jerk comes right after I get in gear.
