RE: How much boost can a stock 03 mustang GT take safely?
I hear ya, man. I actually had an 05 GT for a while, but the payments caught up with me. Despite being surrounded by cars with high numbers, the New Edge is still a great sports car, especially one charged. Pretty sure that Honda doesn't have 300lb of torque, and anything out of Chrysler weighs nearly half a ton more than the mustang. You get a lot outta this car.
Of course, you can always get more, hence the supercharging. Just keep in mind that countless people have walked the path ahead of us, have experienced first hand the downside of being unprepared or too aggressive (or too timid), and are willing to advise us.
Personally, I plan to overhaul the suspension and brakes first. Exhaust comes after that, and finally a Mongoose kit with a SQ Vortech. Then again, I plan to hit the twisties more than race anyone. Well, that's not completely true, but most of the people trying to cut in front of me are soccer moms in their Voyagers and Rav4s.
But to get back on topic, ain't nothin' wrong with 10psi. Just be sure you replace the weak links (forged interals), and IC that puppy. But there's no reason not to start out at 8 and enjoy forced induction until you can cover the extra needed bits.

They may take you off the line but in the long run our cars hit 140mph stock and plus you got to factor in the weight of each vehicle which makes a difference.

well #1 this is the 99-04 section. #2 your 2005 has about 40-45 more hp out of the factory than a 2003 coming out at around 260 at the crank. so thats why
