This question is for owners of gt's that call for 5w20 oil. Has anyone changed to a 5w30 weight oil? And if so did you encounter any engine noise? I would like to run a 30 weight oil but all the ford service advisers said to stay with the 20 weight oil because of the overhead cam set-up.

I run mobil 1 as of now. And I live in okla so the cold is not a factor. Thanks for any input

i run mobile 1 5-30 with no problems. i didn't hear any increased engine noise either.

well it is hard to find 5w-20 around here, i can think of one place that has it and its 20 mins away (i also live in oklahoma), plus i use royal purple and it dosent come in 5w-20.

royal purple has 5w-20 thats what i run u just have to have it orederd from ur auto parts store
