the traction control sucks, ud be better off just learning how much to accelerate. ABS will help you though.

Hey Dan....Is the traction control button lit when in operation, or not lit? My manual doesn't say. One would think that if it is lit, then it is on. And, why does it suck?
ON EDIT: I have an 03 Mach1 that I was referring to.

pretty sure the 03 machs are the same as my 02 gt (as far as t/c )

ok when the button is NOT LIT traction control is turned on and will fuction

when the button IS LIT traction control is turned off and does not funtion

Its like this because it says on there "t/c Off" and its meant to kind of tell you that your supposed to leave traction control on except for special circumstances like doing a burnoug before a race etc. Most people will agree that the traction control is not very good and will make things worse instead of better.

I have always found it made things worse then better. I have mine permently turned off via my predator. If you ever plan on running a power adder the TC can cause some damage because of how it works.

I don't know guys, I kinda like the Traction control... Mostly because I'm not always beating the life out of my car.. However, that's why I have the option to turn it off..

I can empathize with 04SilverGT, mainly because I live in Florida now, and even if you temper your throttle in the rain, the roads are still somewhat slick.. If you even make minor mistake in oversteer, or even understeer for that matter, you can turn your car into a frisbee.. In fact, I've done that this past weekend (all because my right rear ABS Sensor is crapped out), coming around a turn at a MORE than safe speed...

That's another drawback of our T/C Systems, if a wheel speed sensor goes bad, you lose all T/C.. Anyone know how much those things ususally run?? I've been lazy and haven't called around yet..

I dont beat the life out of my car either but i can't stand my gas pedal fighting back at me or if i hit a patch of gravel comming out of my driveway and it takes away my gas it screws you up. Trust me i have heard storys on here of people almost crashing becasue of the "traction control"
