the heads he has now cam from the windsor plant which has a 13 bolt on one side and i think 14 on the other the romeo plant heads have 11 bolts both sides no differnce in performance just different plant castings.there are alot of differences in the 2 plants castings it doesent really make much sence why ford would do that but they did.

I have an 01 Intake Manifold with the alu. crossover on my GT. Mines a 97.
You have to change the nipple in the water pump, the line to the waterpump that sits under the intake manifold, you have to use the PI Gaskets, and you have to get the 01 alternator bracket. The ports will be larger then the ones on the non PI heads, but it works just fine.
Lookup some PI swap how to's though, theres certain places you have to RTV when putting these on so you dont get leaks.
I did a full tune up on mine while I was at it, with a diff thermo, and make sure to oil your cams.

RE: PI intake manifold replacement
I ordered a new intake manifold with the aluminum crossover for my '99 when I developed a leak.
It came with a few different things, including the old stock alternator bracket, and a new different bracket.
To be honest, I was very dissappointed with it.
The bracket stuck out too far and we actually had to dremel it so that the upper radiator hose had half a chance at meeting the thermostat housing directly.
I'm not sure if the manifold I got was a Ford one, or if it was just a knock-off brand or what, but it certainly doesnt meet my expectations. I've got about 100+ miles on it thus far and nothing is leaking yet, but who knows.
One more thing however, this particular intake came with 'gaskets' attached to the bottom of the intake. There is rubber gasket material around all the ports, and the directions even stated that new gaskets were not required.
Good luck. It should be a 2 hour job if you're quick, and about 4-5 if you're patient and thorough.
Mine was 12-15 [:@] (broke something else during the replacement that sucked)
