Default King cobra clutch worth it?

My stock clutch is starting to poop out. I was wondering if a spec stage 1 or 2 or a king cobra clutch are worth it? this is my first manual and I dont know much about upograding the clutch. I know I dont have to upgrade I am just wondering if it is worth doing since I have to change it out soon anyways

your car is 2 years old, odd your clutch its going odd, you must drive it hard. i wouldn't worry about any of that stage 2 stage 3 stuff unless you do A LOT of hard driving, racing, stuff like that if you are pushing serious amounts of horsepower, but since your car is only 2 yrs old i'd say it couldn't hurt to get a king cobra clutch since yours is about gone

I typically dont drive it that hard. It is my first manual so it could be that somethign else is wrong or I am paranoid. I was just looking into different clutch options other than stock incase it needs to be changed. I am having someone check it out for me since he is installing my shocks/struts/springs etc this week.

I know my buddy Jonbeast has the king cobra clutch in his GT, and for the split second i drove it, it felt pretty good as far as pedal effort. I dont know know how well it grabs/holds but i imagine pretty good. Its actually a truck clutch from the F150 4.6 liter so it can handle a hell of a lot of torque. I myself have a spec stage 1 and I should be getting my car back soon from getting a crap load of work done. The TOB is known for noise with the spec clutches so i am putting the oem ford TOB in. Il let ya know how it feels and holds after i get it broken in

I have heard horror stories on the King Cobra, but don't don't have first hand experience. I have also heard bad things about Centerforce, but my wife has one in her Stang and we have never had a problem. I just bought a Spec for my new motor and car upgrade, hope it does well. McLeod also makes an awesome clutch, but they are BIG $$$.
