What's up guys? What is the VIN code (8th digit) for a 2V GT and for a 4V Cobra?

Come on, 38 views and no response?? A couple of you guys can't walk outside and look at your car's VIN and tell me the 8th digit? Not even the whole thing, just one little digit.

Nobody really needs to pay attention to it. The difference visually between the motors is so obvious...

No, first digit is production location, I think that the 8th digit is axle, but am not sure.

The 8th digit is the engine code. Also, I know the visual differences between the two engines, (I've worked on enough mod motors to know) but the girl that owns the car won't let me look under the hood. She swears its a 99 Cobra, but it has a 01-04 GT hood, GT seats, GT taillights, and its an automatic. It has the Cobra front end and badges, and she said her dad swapped hoods after hitting a deer. She also says her dad tore up the stock manual and swapped in the automatic.

Thanks for the answers.

How would you tear up a transmission by hitting a dear? Thats pretty weird... Also, why would you put an automatic in a Cobra? BTW I think Cobra's have a distinct steering wheel that says "Cobra" right on them.
