Default Not the normal "gears" question

Hello I am plannning on installing rear end gears in the Stang this month and while doing some shopping around I am noticing you can buy just gears or you can buy the master install kit with them as a combo. My question is should I get the whole combo or just the gears. My car has 47,000 miles on it now and I see some places are recommending the master kit if you have over 60,000 miles.

Any input is appreciated!!

I'd probably just get the gears. That's not a lot of miles at all.

If u have the money go ahead with the master kit it won't hurt and they will already be in there.

In order to install the gears don't you need the shims and bushings though?

Yeah, you need the shims, crush sleeve etc... Usually the difference between a master and a basic install kit is just new bearings and races. Either way, you will need an install kit, and may as well installnew bearings while you're at it.

Its always best to put all new stuff in when you have things out if possible. IMO. less worry when your driving down the road.
