subframe connectors
so its time for subframe connectors but i have a few ?. 1. would i have to remove the interior carpet before welding the subframe connectors ive heard yes and no. i need to no 100%. second can this be done at home on jacks or i have to go 2 a shop w a lift?

RE: subframe connectors
You do not have to remove the carpet.
You need to go to a shop with a drive-on lift. You suspension needs to be fully loaded when they weld them in, if you dont do this you risk the chance of welding the car crooked from being on jackstands.

RE: subframe connectors
Black35th is correct about having the suspension loaded prior to welding. However, you could do this at home by using car ramps in the front and jack stands in the rear. Car ramps go under your front tires and jack stands go under your rear axles. Make sure your car is level once you do this.

RE: subframe connectors
Talk to Maximum Motorsports about their full length subframe connectors. They are the shiz. Don't worry about zinc plating. Just get them painted after the installation is done to prevent rust.
