Default cams

Im getting my car back monday with the replacement motor. I talked to the people and im getting my old heads back and im gonna port and polish them install comp cam stage 1 cams.
Do i need to get cam gears with them?
Does any one got step by step directions for removing the heads?
How hard are the heads to port and polish the heads? I have done it on old cast iron heads before but never any thing like this.

Thank you

Default RE: cams

Depends on whether your motor has a windsor or romeo motor in it. (cam gear question)
Look at your valve cover and if you have 13 bolts connecting it to the head than you do not need cam gears.
If you have 11 bolts, you need the gears!
