Major Cooling problem... I think?
Ok. So one day im on the highway... with low coolant. Not empty, but not full either. Around 15 miles into it, the engine was VERY hot and something had sprung a leak, spraying coolant all over the upper portion of the engine. I knew this because smoke started to fill the car and was also leaving a trail behind me. I immediately pulled off the highway and got the engine cooled down before I got it home. It never shut down or ran funny or anything different from the usual. Since then, the radiator has replaced due to some corrosion on the passenger side tank, the water pump because it leaked like crazy after the intallment of the radiator, and a thermostat because it was only about 10 bucks... I did not drive it untill all of these things were complete. The first two days were cool. I took it easy. On the third, I thought i would test it a little, so I got on it just a bit. Not to the point of peeling out or even chirping the tires, just giving it a little extra at a green light. When I got home it was smoking like crazy from the engine bay and I opened the hood to find a very loud "hiss" along with coolant all over the 4 plugs on the drivers side, up the backside of the thermostat housing, and some sprayed coolant marks over on the fuse terminal area. I can't really get a good look at whats going on in there because once its spitting coolant you cant get in there to see! And you cant drive it, its gets way too hot way too fast and its hot out anyways! I drove around the block a few times and to get the "hiss" and coolant spitting to stop, i just release preassure by loosening and tightening the radiator cap. Does anyone have any clue as to what is going on here?

The coolant hose at the back left side of the engine which leads to the heater core or from the heater core, either way its by cylinder #4 make sure that your manifold didnt break in that area those manifolds tended to crack and such where that hose clamps onto the manifold.

make sure that thermostat isnt upside down. make sure theres no cracks in the hose and that it is clamped securely. sounds like a cracked intake like previously stated though.
