Best street tire???
I need new tires, and I need a tire with good wet/dry tarction and optimal treadlife. My Falken Azenis' (currently on) are nearly bald with less than 17K miles. I need some new tires and am looking for an affordable tire with long life and good performance. Like 100-125 range if possible. Currently running 245/45/r17's Any suggestions?

I havent had any probs with em in the rain (or the D/rs for that matter). Get 275/40/R17s on the back to gain a few inches of tire.

the reg. nittos are pretty nice. smoother, gentler ride than the stock goodyears. They seem to have decent grip in wet and dry. Drove with nittos from LA to SF in an insane amount of rain and survived, so wet traction is decent. i think I got mine for ~600 installed.
if you get different tires on the back, you won't be able to rotate. If you're looking for less expensive tires, I would think you'd want 4 tires of the same size.

I've had a set of Kumhos on my car(front) for 17k miles and they haven't even shown a sign of wear. And they are great in rain. I did have a set of Kumhos on the back and they didn't last very long, but still gave me about 12k miles.

I have heard somewhere that BFG makes the best street tire....don't know what model, but I'm sure someone can help me out here![8D]
I am running Kumho's ECSTA Supra in the rear and they are pretty good. Wet traction is not impressive, but the dry traction is good for a street tire.

Check out the Falken ZE512's. That's what I'm going with in 2 months. They have a treadwear of 360 and are guaranteed to last 30,000 miles or the company refunds you a prorated refund if they don't. That info is from discount tire direct.
