Default 80 MM MAF?

I currently have a stock plenum and tb. I have a densecharger CAI and a friend wants to sell me his 80MM MAF for 75 bucks. First, would it be worth it, and if so, what would I need to do after I install it... aka computer.

What brand is the MAF???? Depending on the brand you might need to get it calibrated to your injector size. If not you will need to get a programmer to compinsate for the extra air....

I believe it is a C&L. I have a superchips tuner for my gears but it isnt the 3 mode tuner... just the simple tuner.

I have the C&L MAF. Yeah you need to make sure that you have the calibration tube for your injectors! You can get the tube for real cheap.

"80mm c&l mass air meter, excellent condition! $75 shipped obo. Includes 24#/hr. sample tube! Cheap 6-13 hp." So i believe the tube comes with it. I'll just need to get 24# injectors.

Yeah just as long as you get the injectors the 80mm will do you good.

I just got an 03 GT and it had an 85 MM mass air system on it, also a C&L. pretty sure it still has stock injectors and no tune done to it...

You dont need any special tune or anything like that. There is a small tube that is inside the MAF tube(the big sliver thing), there is a color at the end of it to indicate which size injectors it is for. If you dont hve the right calibration tube in there then the MAF is prolly doin you more bad than good!
