Transmission Trouble????
1999 GT Convertible, Automatic, 47k miles, No mods (yet)!!!
When I am going along in city driving the transmission shifts normal until it is ready to go in to overdrive. Right before it shifts I'll be right around 1500 RPM's and then it goes to 2000 RPM's for about 1 second and then shifts into overdrive. I now turn off overdrive in the city but was wondering if anyone knows a fix for this? Will a filter and fluid change help? Has any other automatic owner experienced these symptoms? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I never noticed it happening to my car, but I would suggest that you change the filter and fluid. I would also suggest a shift kit, not only will it make driveing more fun, but it will also be better for your transmission when you do start modding it. And if you want to go the extra mile add a transmission cooler too.
