Call Modular Powerhouse and pick up a set of their custom grinds. You can probably get the car running alright with just a handheld, but it won't run like it should. If your gonna spend the time and money on doing cams and or heads, then you'd be a fool not to get it tuned right. How much tuning it will require depends on the grind. Unless you go with a very mild cam, then there are things that you will need to adjust in your tune that you cannot access on a handheld tuner.

It is recommended to change the springs on almost every Stage II and up cam on the market, but its a good idea to upgrade for any cam swap IMO.

Thanks. If anyone was wondering I have decided on a stage two cam and springs. I will get it tuned as well. As far as the company I am going to haveto look into the one I want more. I was thinking comp cams though.

FYI modular powerhouse cams are ground by Comp Cams just to MPH's specs. And they'll blow away an off the shelf stage II.
