I need help spending my money. . .Camshaft advice
I have a 2003 Mustang Gt and I was wondering what upgrade I should do next. I know that I want to put a camshaft in the car. If I went this rout I would need to know which camshaft to buy for a mostly street car. I would like to do the heads as well but I may not be able to afford it. Would it be worth it to the cam with out the heads? I also wanted to know if there were other upgrades that are necessary before I upgrade the camshaft, like a fuel pump and injectors, or better pistons and rods? If it is necessary what are those upgrades?
1.What camshaft should a mostly street car get? What heads shoudl I get if I can afford it?
2.Is it worth doing the camshaft with out doing heads as well since I may not be able to afford it?
3.Are there modifications I need to make to the car before I put a camshaft in it? If so, what are those mods?
Here are my modification in case anyone needed to know to answer my questions.
LT Headers
H-pipe
Magnaflow Cat-back
3:73 gears,
Steeda Tri ax shifter
K&N CAI
Accufab TB and Plenum
Diablo high octain tune
Alumimun Driveshaft
Steeda Underdrive pulliies
Steeda Upper and Lower CA's

Cams are a great investment. I suggest you call a company like Comp though and let them tell you the best cam for your application. Only they would know the absolute best one to get. Comp cams are advanced 5 degrees though so you have to degree them if you get the stage 2's. The grind VT uses, I'm not sure what there name is now, are not advanced like that and do not have to be degreed for the stage 2's.

im liking the way hitech brand cams are looking. im going with a stage 1 n/a cam for my build simply because im not looking to get over 290hp. thats plenty for me on the street.
cushman motorsport cams differ from hitchs quite a bit. one favors exhaust and one favors intake, so im still figuring out which one is best..proble the intake side tho lol.

You won't need to upgrade any other part on the car. Unless you end up going with a stage 2 cam most require upgraded valve springs. Other than the cams/springs just a dyno tune and enjoy

So I NEED a dyno tune. Can I do it with a hand held tuner? What would be my expected gains with a stage II vs a stage I cam? And a Stage II only requires valve springs?
