Default Front end squeaking like a mouse

How long dofronts struts usually last on our cars? The ride still seems firm (I bounced the front end up and down a few times)butit squeaks everytime it goes over thesmallest of bumps. It also comes up whenI make turns at a lower rate of speed. I thought that this may be coming from the r/p as per the TSB but it doesn'tmake sense that it could do thiswhile it's going straight.Isit time to replace thefront struts?

well you could visually inspect them, then check for loose bolts/nuts on suspension. If you have a bit of miles on the car I would replace them as well as the rear shocks

My struts were leaking at like 45,000 miles and I put some AGX adjustables on the front. (havent done the rear yet)

Just change them.. Have a buddy bounce the car and get under there and listen for the squeak.. I had a rear squeak BAD.. going over bumps, hills.. everything, then my main main kenny got under there while I bounced the car and WD-40'd a bushing somewhere and BOOM the squeak was neutralized.

I could definitely do a double check on the bolts underneath. Maybe there's some little misfit (no pun intended) that's doing this. My baby just reached60k so I wasn't sureif thiswasthe life spanof struts. Thanks, I'll look into it.

Geez! 45k and they already went? What kind of parts did Ford put in our cars? Yeah, I know about the bad squeak. Sometimes it sounds so loud that I could swear that people could hear me from a block away...and not in a good way. My rear shocks are firm and noise-free. I like the idea about the WD-40. Well, while I'm underneath the car checking the bolts I could spray the WD-40 to my hearts content.

the scheduled replacement is at 50k for struts and shocks, although most people don't replace them until the car is noticably messed up.

Just to throw another question into this post, since it looks like I'll be shopping for new struts and shocks, what brand do you recommend I look into?
