Check Engine light on

97 gt convertible.. I will be going to autozone to see if they can find out what this is due to, but dont they have to plug a computer or something into my car?

If so, where is the plug located at?

Got it read last night, "Emessions" code P1401.

What does that mean?

I disconnected my battery for an hour last night, then reconnected it and started the car - light did not come on.

shut my car off. Filled up with gas. restarted car and light is back on.

Ideas?

a little search came up with a bad dpfe sensor. The code will keep coming back until the problom causing it is resolved. It should run somewhere around $50 bucks.
