i think a lot of the problems they were having with that dual power adder add is that the HP twin turbo kit can flow way more than that eaton and the eaton was actually slowing down the air velocity.
The idea of dual power adders makes complete sense if you know anything about thermodynamics. air is a compressible fluid, and that means you can compress it. Theres no real limit you can compress it, but the more you compress it the more heat you create. That is often a problem with any boost application.
I'd be willing to bet with a KB 2.8 or a whipple 3.4 and HP twin 67s or something big like that along with some crazy flowing heads and all the other necessary components you could see 2000horsepower or more

I have that issue. I didn't know it could be done until I read that article. People told me that they used to do that same setup on big trucks. I wonder what that would sound like. Probably fricken bad a$$.

yah when they tried out that TT setup with the ported eaton on the termi the heads lifted off the block. so they replaced them and it did it a second time. very efficient and obviously enough power there for everyone..

MM&FF just had an article a couple of months ago comparing compound boost vs. blower vs. turbos. The result was that the turbos alone made the most power for a given level of boost, but the compound system made more power down low.

that pic was done for a book about modding ford mod motors. i cant remember the name of the books but it has an orange mustang on the cover of it. they bolted the combo on just to show the different power adders that were available.
