Need help with o/r H pipe
I am getting ready to install a MAC o/r h pipe in my 2004 Mach 1 and have a few questions. After searching for a while I figured it would be easier to ask here since I wasn't finding what I need.
First off I believe I'll need o2 sensor extensions. Is Autozone or the like the best place to look or do you need to go somewheres else?
Also how long of an extension is usually needed?
Should I use both the front and rear?
Why do some of you eliminate the rear ones and what does the MIL do?
What happens if I hook up front and rear o2 sensors?
Thanks for all your help guys. just trying to go into this project with all the knowledge I need and all the right parts to get the job done.[/align]

RE: Need help with o/r H pipe
I didnt need the 02 extenions.
The MIL eliminators tell the computer that there is a cat on the car, when obviously there isnt.
Hook up the front sensors and put the MIL's on the back....thats what i did

I would look on american muscle for the extensions.
You don't need to touch the front o2's. They are in the headers for the A/F ratio.
If you don't put MIL's in or turn the rear o2's off with a tuner, the CEL will come on and you will not be able to pass inspection.

OK so the extensions are for the rear o2 sensors which is also where I need to tap in a MIL eliminator right?
Next question is where do you get a MIL? Seems like everyone quit making them.

You can make your own for about $10. I don't have the link but search around and there some instructions.
