Default Cheap CAI question...

I currently have a drop in k&n filter, but since im goin with a new TB and Plenum, i wanna get an actual fenderwell CAI too. I saw one on AmericanMuscle for about 100 bucks, but idk the quality of the filter. I know i cant use the filter i have now cause its just a drop in. And im not spending 250 bucks for the k&N CAI... [&:]

Think that the filter for the 100 buck one is good enough? Or can i buy that and just get a seperate k&n filter that will fit it and swap the filters out?

I would say your better off with what you have now. There was one of those in my car when I got it and I couldnt stand it. The filter is only about 5" tall 2.5" wide at the tip and 4" wide at the top. The thing went down in my fender almost to the opening. The one I have now is a JLT Ram Air Intake and ive actually gotten better gas mileage with that compared to the cheap no brand CAI. Just my .02 worth.

I dont wanna spend 300 bucks on a CAI. And the JLT is only better cause its one of the widest CAI pipes. 4 ****in inches across hhaha.

I understand not wanting to spend a lot of money. I only spent 170 on the JLT, but I would just stay away from the $100 one I think it will probably hurt you more than it could help.

spend the extra money and get the JLT. You can get the JLT RAI for around $180 at american muscle after the discount.
