I've got a 2000 GT w/ 124k on it.. A 50/50 split on hard, city miles and highway miles. The engine's outlasted the Rear diff and just about to outlast the Tranny... Feels like it's slipping, and it chatters like a ****. Shifts kinda funny, and it doesn't lock when cruising all of the time.. Not quite sure what it is exactly, but I've got it down to a few components.. None of them are nice to hear about..

Anyone have a AOD-E w/ less than 50k on it for sale??

Bro, there are two on Ebay at the moment. One for $295 with only like $200 shipping to anywhere. It had low miles too. I couldn't find the other when I did a search a few minutes ago, but I coulda swore it was on last night. Searh "mustang transmission"

98 with 109000. Runs strong. No knocks, pings, oil burning or leaking.

My 97 GT currently has 80,456 miles. I am the 3rd owner. The only thing that was replaced to my knowledge was the rear differential and the used car lot paid for it. So far everything else is fine.

2000 GT convert - 133,000 miles, 95% of which are highway. 1 clutch, 1 set of brakes (just did those), 2 sets of tires (at 66k and 133k) and 1 coil (due to sitting all winter in storage). I change the oil (synthetic) every 3-5k. The engine still pulls hard. Best 26 grand I ever spent.
