Default more power??

i have a 98 mustang gt

long tube headman headers headman offroad X and flowmasters
msd coils, wires, plugs
k & n intake

when i did the exhaust i left the o2' s off and plugged the holes i was told that there is more power to be found if i do the mil kit and tune it. is this true and if so how much are we looking to gain and how much on average do the mods i have give me?

A tune for your intake and exhaust is always going to help. All the MIL eliminator does is turn off your SES light.

I agree with stangerang though. Gears, then a tune. You'll get some benefit from tuning for longtubes and an o/r X at least.

when you say tune your meaning have the chip installed in the ecu right? not the handheld ones? personally ive never heard of a mil kit making changes. they just turn off your engine light..... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/96-04...spagenameZWDVW

and yes with a tune youd probably get about 15 hp. estimate....

and if you do the gears and then get it tuned then you don't have to worry about a speedo gear. when they dyno tune it they can correct your mph for ya. 3.73s or 4.10s would be a good start. i had 4.10s in the 04 gt and i loved it. then you might want to invest in some drag radials! the mils are cheap though so go head and turn off that engine light.
