Think of it this way.. when you use that clutch you have 2 gears that are trying to hook up.. your dog teeth.. and your gear. When you push in that clutch, the synchronzer brings them to the proper speed, so they can hook up. So, when you didn't use your clutch just picture 2 gears going super crazy fast, and touching and trying to link up going at 2 different speeds.. making that shifter shake like a amazon belly dancer. Make sure you use that clutch, I would never RPM shift.. you can't ever get it perfect, it will always go in rougher than when you use the clutch.. even if you don't hear anything grind.

You should install that mgw shifter. Its easierto get to the next gear andthere is a shorter distance to travel.

Your fine. Over the normal life of a tranny, it will ocassionally grind like that when you mess up, and it wears a little at a time, but it doesn't kill it. If that would kill a tranny,every tranny on would be broken. We've all done it. Just try not to do it, but don't sweat it when it happens.
